God gives Ezekiel the vision of the Valley of the Dry Bones, which represents the dead nation being brought back to life. First, the nation will be brought back into the land but without life (spiritually dead in unbelief) and then God will put His Spirit in them and cause them to live. God also describes how the restored nation will no longer be divided into Israel and Judah (as it had been for over 400 years at that time) but under one nation collectively: the nation of Israel. God promises to set His King over them and cause them to prosper and thrive in the land, and never be cast out again.
